Help preserve this wonderful piece of floating history

Vigilance, launched in Brixham in 1926 was the last sailing trawler to be built in the port and, thanks to two major grants, she has been magnificently restored in time for her centenary year.

So now is a great time to join our fabulous team of Friends eager to share their passion for sailing, for preserving this wonderful piece of  floating history for the next generation and for having fun times together in the process.

There are two levels of membership of the 'Friends of the Vigilance':

  1.  Basic Membership @ £60 per year
  2.  Advanced Membership @ £120 per year

Please complete the form below to register and pay online with a credit/debitcard or print and complete the form manually here.

Thank you! Our goal remains the preservation of Vigilance for the enjoyment of as many Brixham residents and visitors as possible. The aim is to give people the opportunity to experience the unique delights of visiting and sailing this historic boat and in the process raise awareness of, and perpetuate, the skills and craftsmanship required to keep her ship-shape.
